Both Galvanized steel and Stainless Steel would withstand a building fire, therefore they are perfect for a seed phrase backup.
Galvanized steel is coated with a layer of zinc to protect it from corrosion, which is effective in preventing rusting in moderate environments.
Stainless steel contains a minimum of 10.5% chromium, which forms a passive oxide layer that protects the metal from corrosion. This makes stainless steel highly resistant to rust and corrosion, even in aggressive environments, such as coastal areas or industrial settings. Galvanized steel is more affordable, and stainless steel offers superior durability and longevity.
